At the meeting, the consultant proposed 3 pre-feasible plans to implement the project.
Option 1: The urban bypass road has a length of 52.1km, the total land bank after investment is 8,900ha, minimizing the impact on the existing status and project planning, solving the current traffic congestion above. QL18.
Option 2: The landscape axis along the river, the route will follow the river 54.6km long, the exploited land fund after investment is about 10,000ha, but can only exploit one side, reducing investment efficiency, one number of monuments affected.
Option 3: Traffic and service is 51.4km long, 9,800ha of land is exploited after investment, promoting the existing planning, low site clearance cost, exploiting both sides of the route associated with urban areas. town, traffic hub, forming riverside corridor to protect ecological space.
The leaders of Quang Ninh province said that option 3 is feasible, consistent with the development orientation of the strategic route, the driving force of the western region of the province. Therefore, research will focus on this proposed scheme.
At the same time, it is agreed that the scale of the route for the investment period of 2021-2026 is 6 lanes, the next phase will be expanded to 10 lanes based on the actual development of the area that the route passes.
It is known that the riverside project connecting from Ha Long – Hai Phong highway to Dong Trieu town, the section from Dam Nha Mac intersection to 338 provincial road (phase 1) has a total length of 47km, speed 100km / H. The project is expected to be deployed in the second quarter of 2020 with a total investment of more than 1,498 billion dong.
